Born and raised in Cincinnati, Reena Samaan Goodwin lives in Cleveland, Ohio, where she works as the Digital Communications Manager at the Cleveland Museum of Art, handling the institution’s online communication efforts via social media, e-news, blogging, and more. Previously, she worked on the communications team at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum for five years, focused on social and digital media, as well as traditional media and public relations for the institution. Since 2010, Goodwin has been an independent deejay, playing at arts and culture related events throughout the city. Prior to her move to Cleveland in 2008, she worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Columbia Records in New York City, focused on artist development, advertising, publicity, tour, and promotional efforts for pop and rock musicians on the world-renowned record label. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs Journalism and degree in Arabic from the Ohio State University in Columbus, where she also began her career in the music industry as a college marketing representative for up-and-coming artists on the Sony BMG Music Entertainment label (now Sony Music).
In addition to music, her interests include fashion, reading, art, food, health/fitness, film, technology, design, interior decor and DIY, traveling, cooking, red wine, re-learning French, and blogging. She resides on Cleveland’s east side with her husband, Jody Goodwin, a database developer and freelance web designer, and two cats, Gatsby and Indy.
